Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wes Sherk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomek Gaszewski!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Gaszewski.
Sherk shoots in looking for a takedown but Gaszewski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sherk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gaszewski lands the left hand.

Sherk shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sherk was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sherk controlling from mount.
Sherk misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Sherk lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gaszewski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sherk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sherk with the ground and pound from mount.
Sherk lands a big shot to the head and Gaszewski winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Turniejowski looks for a takedown but Clade sprawls well.

Clade decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Turniejowski is refusing to be controlled, as Clade sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turniejowski moves into full guard.

Turniejowski is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Clade rolls with it to try and escape but Turniejowski cranks on the arm and Clade is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nadeau dives in and scores a takedown into Berglomi's guard.
Nadeau throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Nadeau thows a big elbow that misses.
Berglomi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Nadeau trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Nadeau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Berglomi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Berglomi keeping moving, preventing Nadeau from controlling successfully.
Nadeau tries to free his leg and advance position but Berglomi is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nadeau accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Berglomi wants to stand and escape but Nadeau is having none of it.
Nadeau pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Berglomi is keeping the position for now.

Nadeau might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Nadeau had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Berglomi defends it easily.

Nadeau has his foot on Berglomi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Berglomi works his way back into a safe position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Berglomi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nadeau has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Berglomi has managed to get both his arms back between Nadeau's legs - danger averted.

Nadeau is looking for a triangle but Berglomi pushes his legs off easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nadeau is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Berglomi defends well.
Nadeau looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Berglomi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Nadeau turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nadeau manages to end up in side control.

Nadeau jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Berglomi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Berglomi and Nadeau has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Nadeau wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Berglomi, who protects the arm well.
Nadeau in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Nadeau tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nadeau has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Berglomi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nadeau is controlling him well.
Nadeau advances to full mount.
Nadeau lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Berglomi hang on?
Nadeau trying to control but Berglomi is having none of it.
Berglomi stops Nadeau from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Nadeau here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Berglomi is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Nadeau misses with a head shot.

Nadeau looking to isolate an arm here. Berglomi doesn't see it coming and as Nadeau extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Nadeau!

Crede looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salcedo is fending him off so far but Crede persists. Nope, Salcedo circles away and we're back to standing.
Salcedo punishes Crede's body with a nice straight punch.
Crede shoots in but no luck this time.
Salcedo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Crede tries for a takedown but Salcedo circles away easily

and Salcedo lands a stunning uppercut that sends Crede to the mat!

Crede is rocked!

It looks like Ross Crede has been cut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ross Crede. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crede is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Salcedo is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Crede is hurt! He's hurt bad - Salcedo fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Crede from any more punishment! Congratulations to Salcedo! Great finish!
