Tanner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Danny Tanner hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ryu lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tanner has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tanner and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Tanner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ryu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tanner has managed to get both his arms back between Ryu's legs - danger averted.

Ansatsuken Ryu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Tanner.
Tanner's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ryu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tanner scrambles back to his feet.

Ryu is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Tanner has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Tanner!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ansatsuken Ryu.
I think Ryu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
