Singh swats away the attempt to clinch by Twat.

and Singh counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Singh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Twat is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nice defenses there by Marius Nero.

Marius Nero fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ward, pushing him back against the cage.

Ward wants to break free but Marius Nero has control.

Alvarez wants the takedown. Cruise is fighting it off but Alvarez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cruise's guard against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Cruise.
Alvarez is trying to drag Cruise to the mat but Cruise just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabbat lands with a nice combination. Marx backs away looking to recover.
Marx misses with a leg kick.
Marx scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Marx scores with a leg kick.
Marx misses with a head kick.
Cabbat misses with a series of wild punches.
Cabbat misses with a two punch combination.
Marx misses with a head kick.
Marx lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cabbat throws a hook but Marx blocks it.

Cabbat looks to land a left hand but Marx moved out of range nicely.

Cabbat shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Marx is trying to defend but Cabbat finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Cabbat frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cabbat seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Marx is holding on tight.
Marx really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabbat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marx is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Cabbat is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Marx to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Marx shrugs it off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cabbat is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Cabbat extends the arm and Marx is forced to tap!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bonifacio Martial (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Crappler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Bonifacio Martial has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bonifacio Martial seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

A left and a right from Martial both land. Nice combination.

It looks like King Crappler has been cut.
Martial throws a sloppy head kick and Crappler moves out of range easily.
Martial misses with a looping left.
Martial swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Crappler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A big right from Martial misses.
Crappler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martial sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crappler somewhat.
Martial connects with a crisp jab.
Martial misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No joy there for Crappler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Martial lands a jab to the nose.
Nice sprawl there from Martial as Crappler shoots in.
Bonifacio Martial has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Crappler.

Crappler throws a series of punches but Martial avoids them all with ease.
Martial connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Crappler takes one on the button.
Martial lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Martial throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crappler dives in and grabs Martial's left leg, looking for a takedown. Martial pushes down on Crappler's head and hops out.
Crappler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Martial was well out of range. Poor timing from Crappler.
Crappler shoots for a double leg takedown but Martial sprawls well. He's pushed Crappler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Crappler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martial avoids it really well and circles away.
Crappler jabbing away but nothing is landing.
King Crappler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Martial throws a lazy right hand but Crappler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Martial throws a body punch but Crappler moves out of range.
Crappler takes a shot to the body in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martial throws a head kick that misses.
Crappler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Martial swivels and escapes.
Martial misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martial looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Martial takes one to the chin there.
Martial tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Martial throws a head kick that misses.

Crappler dives in and grabs Martial's left leg, looking for a takedown. Martial pushes down on Crappler's head and hops out.

Martial slaps away a takedown attempt from Crappler, before circling back to the center of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Crappler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Crappler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Crappler throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Crappler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Martial keeping moving, preventing Crappler from controlling successfully.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. King Crappler was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Martial takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bonifacio Martial dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Martial trying to keep a closed guard but Crappler is proving a slippery customer.
Crappler trying to control the position from guard on top but Martial is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Crappler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martial swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Crappler drops back looking for a leg! Martial is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Martial manages to kick Crappler off! Crappler jumps back into Martial's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crappler tries to free his leg and advance position but Martial is retaining full guard.
Crappler trying to control the position from guard on top but Martial is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Crappler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Martial knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crappler on the ground.

Crappler wants to pass the guard but Martial is keeping the position.
Crappler passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martial is trying to escape the position but Crappler is controlling the position.

Crappler has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Martial is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Crappler yanks on the arm and Martial is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Crappler.
