Crede has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Smygare is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Crede looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smygare with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

This one is over folks. Trapp just didn't come prepared.

Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Castro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Castro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Castro tries to land a sweep but no joy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Castro sprawls well. Castro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Castro did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
