MacLain has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hall to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! MacLain is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hall pulls down on the head and he's put MacLain to sleep! This one is all over!

Snow closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Holtik closes the distance and clinches up with Snow, looking for a takedown. Holtik pushes Snow against the cage but Snow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Snow shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Snow showed some decent athleticism there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No joy there for Snow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Snow works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Holtik has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Holtik has hold of Snow's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Snow manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Holtik has control of Snow's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Snow regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gracie counters with a nice leg kick.
Aldo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Aldo closes the distance and clinches.

Aldo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gracie has taken the fight to the clinch.
Aldo misses with some punches.
Aldo is trying to break free.

Gracie has Aldo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gracie pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Aldo tumbling to the mat - Gracie dives into Aldo's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Gracie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aldo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Aldo is rocked!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Aldo's temple.
Aldo is still in real trouble! Can Gracie finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie is taking a breather. Aldo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Gracie cracks Aldo's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Aldo slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Gracie can do further damage! This one is done, son!
