Andrews could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Amidal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

BJ Andrews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Amidal tries to bum rush Andrews with a series of wild strikes but Andrews uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Smalling goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Kickboxer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Samuel takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Kickboxer cracks Samuel with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Kickboxer grinds an elbow into Samuel's temple.
Kickboxer throws an elbow but Samuel slips to the side and avoids it well.
Samuel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kickboxer has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Samuel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Frank leaves Duncan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Frank drives through and clinches with Duncan against the cage.

Duncan gets control of Frank's arms and successfully pulls guard. Duncan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Frank stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duncan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Duncan has his foot on Frank's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frank works his way back into a safe position though.

Duncan is working an open guard so Frank takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Duncan looks for a takedown but Frank sprawls well.

Frank moves into the clinch.

Frank jumps guard and drags Duncan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Frank is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frank has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Duncan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
