These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juelz Santana!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana misses with a body shot.
Mallon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Santana pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Juelz Santana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santana takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Juelz Santana has been cut.
Mallon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like John Mallon has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Santana pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Santana throws a head kick that misses.
Santana fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mallon is out of range.
Mallon tries to close the distance and clinch but Santana swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Mallon misses the target.

Mallon clinches.
Mallon is trying to break the clinch but Santana has him pressed against the cage.
Santana looking to slow down the pace here.
Mallon working aggressively here.

Santana pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mallon avoids the head kick by Santana.
Santana tries to land a front kick but Mallon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mallon throws a shot from downtown. Santana moves away and avoids it.
Santana uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mallon.
Nice uppercut there from Mallon.
Mallon lands a nice hook to Santana's body. Santana takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mallon closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Santana out cold! Santana corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
