The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lashley gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Lashley is looking for a kimura but Hewitt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lashley to get the leverage.

Lashley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hewitt wants to improve his position but Lashley is controlling well.

Lashley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hewitt is just riding it out for now. Lashley eventually gives up the hold.
Hewitt tries to roll over but Lashley keeps him under control.

Lashley seems to be working for a kimura but Hewitt defends the submission attempt.
Hewitt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lashley is working away from the top position though.

Lashley uses his free foot to push down on Hewitt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hewitt.
Hewitt is desperately trying to improve his position but Lashley has a good base and remains in mount.
Hewitt wants to control but Lashley is having none of it.
Hewitt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Lashley jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hewitt manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lashley tries for a kimura but Hewitt is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hewitt can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hewitt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lashley's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Lashley works his way into side control.

Hewitt shoots in and bounces Lashley off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Lashley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hewitt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hewitt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lashley has his foot on Hewitt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hewitt works his way back into a safe position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lashley is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hewitt throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lashley's body to avoid the submission. Lashley has instead reached around Hewitt's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lashley arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Diaz throws a head kick but Torrance moves out of range.
Diaz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Torrance misses with a wild body shot.
Drew Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torrance avoids the head kick by Diaz.
Torrance stalks Diaz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Diaz's face. Diaz staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Drew Diaz has been cut.
Torrance throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Diaz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Torrance stuffs the takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
Torrance throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range.
Torrance punishes Diaz's body with a nice straight punch.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Torrance is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Torrance circles away and we're back to standing.
Diaz fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Diaz drops his hands momentarily and Torrance takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Diaz will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Torrance connects with a right that clearly hurt Diaz. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as Torrance proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Diaz collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Schwetty stalks Samuel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Samuel's face. Samuel staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Jorge Samuel has been cut.
Samuel fails with the takedown.
Samuel dives in and grabs Schwetty's left leg, looking for a takedown. Schwetty pushes down on Samuel's head and hops out.

Schwetty closes the distance and pushes Samuel back into the ropes.
Schwetty lands a hook to the side of the head.
Schwetty is trying to break the clinch but Samuel has him pressed against the ropes.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Schwetty.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Del Geno. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Browne shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Sladkov lands a big right hand that sends Browne crashing to the mat! Sladkov stays standing though and waves Browne back to his feet!

Sladkov flashes Browne a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Browne 's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Browne crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Sladkov punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
