The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopo shoots and misses
and Stone counters with a low kick, right behind Hopo 's knee.
Stone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hopo moves out of range as Stone throws a body kick.
Stone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hopo lands a really nice looking cross but Stone seems unphased.
Stone avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Stone cracks the inside of Hopo's front leg.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stone gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Stone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Stone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Stone not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hopo moves into full guard.

Hopo keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.
Hopo has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Stone has passed into side control.
Stone throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Hopo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Stone is trying to ground and pound but Hopo uses the momentary lack of control by Stone to regain half guard.
Hopo is looking to control Stone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hopo avoid being mounted?
Hopo is trying to get back to full guard.
Hopo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hopo.
Stone with a nice head shot there.

Hopo is trying to control the position but Stone postures up.
Stone preventing the sweep.
Stone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hopo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Stone has picked Hopo up and slammed him! Hopo can't keep hold of the triangle and Stone manages to pass to side control!
Hopo is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Hopo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stone off and has taken his back!

Hopo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Stone.
Hopo closes the distance and clinches up with Stone, looking for a takedown. Hopo pushes Stone against the cage but Stone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A bone on bone clash there as Stone blocks the leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stone pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sean Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hopo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
