Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aron Kostic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pete Peterson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kostic fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kostic tries a head kick but it misses.
Kostic closes the distance looking to clinch

and Peterson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Peterson is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peterson distracts Kostic with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Peterson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Peterson passes Kostic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kostic tries to roll over but Peterson keeps him under control.
Still in half guard, Peterson seems content to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Peterson lands a nice short elbow.

Peterson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peterson connects with a nice short shot to Kostic's temple.
Peterson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kostic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kostic wants to control but Peterson is keeping busy.
Peterson passes to full mount!
Kostic on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kostic tries to get out of the position.

Kostic has left one of his arms exposed and Peterson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kostic screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Landry pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nakano back to the cage. Landry follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Satoru Nakano has been cut.
Nakano looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nakano takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Landry lands with a straight right. Nakano didn't see that one coming.

Mir throws an uppercut from hell that sends Kelltonville clean off his feet! He's out cold! Mir stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
