The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sinclair shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mieto is trying to defend but Sinclair finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mieto looks gassed!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sinclair winds up and cracks Mieto with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sinclair looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mieto with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sinclair has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sinclair lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Mieto quite badly. Mieto pulls Sinclair in close trying to recover. Sinclair postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Mieto on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Mieto doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Oh but Johnson is tightening it up a little... Hissi Junior has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hissi Junior reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hissi Junior taps out! Nice BJJ there by Johnson!

They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Karpo can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
