Aerts looks for the body kick but Mc saw that one coming.
Aerts lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Aerts scores with a kick to the midsection.
Aerts scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Baeddan Mc hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Aerts tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Mc paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Aerts leaves Mc with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Aerts, right into the meat.

Mc just misses with a punch to the body.

Mc bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Aerts.
I think Mc has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
