The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holl shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yamamoto as he jumps to the side.
Zach Holl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holl looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Holl takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Holl fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yamamoto manages to avoid it.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Yamamoto.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Holl crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Yamamoto - the referee stops the clock and Holl gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Yamamoto. Holl manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Decimus shoots for a double leg takedown but Rickenhausen sprawls well. He's pushed Decimus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lattavo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
