Miller misses with a takedown
and Orlan counters with a nice body shot.
Dave Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Orlan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Orlan slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Orlan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Miller looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Orlan counters with a head kick. That will keep Miller thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Benn lands a jab-cross combination.

and Benn counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Baggins is lucky that one didn't land flush.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe fails in his attempt to clinch.

Vasa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Doe goes for a takedown in the clinch but Vasa prevents it.

Vasa gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Doe regains guard.
Vasa connects with a couple of short punches.
Doe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vasa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Doe is proving hard to escape from.
Vasa wants to pass the guard but Doe is keeping the position.
Vasa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Doe's head.

Doe is trying to control the position but Vasa postures up.
Vasa scoring with some ground and pound.
Vasa postures up in Doe's guard and throws a big left but Doe blocks it.
Vasa pushing down on Doe's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Vasa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vasa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Vasa throwing shots but Doe is blocking nicely.
Doe wants to control but Vasa is keeping busy.
Vasa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Vasa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Doe sees it coming and defends easily.
Vasa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Doe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Vasa drops an elbow to the side of Doe's head.

Vasa is looking for a kimura but Doe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vasa to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vasa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Doe defends it well.
Doe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vasa is working away from the top position though.

Vasa sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Doe defending well though.
Doe is trying to stand up here but Vasa is controlling him well.
Vasa scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Vasa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Doe trying to control from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vasa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doe keeps working.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vasa misses with a head shot. Doe uses the momentum to regain guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Foti Vasa dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Vasa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Doe to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Doe won't allow Vasa to get back to his feet.
Vasa lands an upkick as Doe stands over him.

Vasa pushes Doe off and scrambles back to his feet.
Doe shoots and misses

and Vasa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vasa looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Vasa gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Vasa instigates a clinch.

Vasa jumps guard.
Vasa is trying to hold Doe in close to prevent damage but Doe has managed to pass into half guard.
Doe blocks the strikes from Vasa.
Vasa is looking to get back to is feet but Doe passes into side control.
Vasa is looking to regain half guard here but Doe keeps moving and retains side control.
Vasa is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Doe off and has taken his back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doe is taking damage to the body and head.

Vasa has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Doe! Can he survive? No! He's out! Vasa gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
