The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruffa takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Teevie!
Nice takedown defense from Teevie. No joy for Ruffa on that attempt.
Ruffa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Teevie swivels and escapes.
Ruffa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Teevie misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ruffa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Teevie did well to prevent Ruffa getting side control.
