0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marvin Stevens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Claremont! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Claremont decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Stevens wants to improve his position but Claremont is controlling well.
Stevens is refusing to be controlled, as Claremont sits in half guard. Stevens wants to improve his position but Claremont is controlling well.
Claremont drops an elbow to the side of Stevens's head. Stevens on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stevens tries to get out of the position. Claremont is keen to just control but Stevens is a slippery customer. Claremont lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Claremont trying to control from half guard but Stevens is working away. Claremont slips a nice elbow through Stevens's hands, connecting with Stevens's forehead. Stevens misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Stevens tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Stevens trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Claremont manages to pass to mount!
Claremont wants to control the pace but Stevens is squirming around nicely. Stevens is desperately trying to improve his position but Claremont has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Claremont with shots to the head and body - Stevens looks very uncomfortable down there.
Stevens is rocked! Claremont landing strikes from the mount. Oh Stevens is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Claremont is in the full mount, landing strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! A nice elbow there by Claremont. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Claremont cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Claremont unloading with bombs! Claremont lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stevens hang on? Claremont scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Claremont quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Claremont but it's paid off an Stevens is forced to tap! Nice work by Claremont.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MaCauley lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by MaCauley. MaCauley rushes Koussevitzky and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. MaCauley keeps control of Koussevitzky as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Koussevitzky scores with a shot to the side of MaCauley's head. MaCauley is trying to break free. MaCauley prevents Koussevitzky from breaking the clinch. A right hand to the body from MaCauley.

Koussevitzky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Koussevitzky gets a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Koussevitzky fails to land. MaCauley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Koussevitzky cracks MaCauley with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Koussevitzky moves in looking to clinch but MaCauley pushes him off. MaCauley moves into the clinch. Koussevitzky lands with a light punch inside. Koussevitzky breaks the clinch.
Koussevitzky takes the fight into the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! MaCauley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Koussevitzky has him pressed against the cage. MaCauley manages to break the clinch.

MaCauley has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Koussevitzky works to full guard. MaCauley stands up from guard. Let's bang! MaCauley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Koussevitzky. That did some damage! Koussevitzky is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Koussevitzky takes one to the side of the head.

Koussevitzky comes in with a flurry of punches and drops MaCauley to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Constanza is not content to let Astra control the position. Astra looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Astra trying to control from half guard but Constanza is working away. Astra is looking to advance position but Constanza won't allow it. Constanza is trying to get back to full guard. Constanza misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Astra not landing any meaningful shots this time. Astra not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Astra bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Constanza is looking to reverse the position. Astra trying to control the action but Constanza is working from the bottom. Astra working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Astra is trying to control the position but Constanza postures up.

Astra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Constanza's guard. Astra working some strikes from top position. Astra in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Astra advances position into side control! Astra tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Astra sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Constanza is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Constanza gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Astra looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee warns Constanza that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Astra eventually gives up the hold. Constanza is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Astra shoots in and bounces Constanza off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Astra loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Astra gets to his feet. Constanza looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Constanza does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Constanza gets caught flat footed, as Astra shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Astra looking to pass the guard. Constanza looking to hit a scissor sweep but Astra is one step ahead there. Astra works over Constanza with some ground and pound from guard.

Astra won't allow Constanza to sweep him here. Astra passes easily into side control. Nice work. Constanza manages to work his way to half guard, despite Astra's best efforts. Astra is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Constanza defends it well. Constanza tries to get to full guard but Astra has control of the leg. Constanza is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Astra's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Astra's back! Constanza struggling to land strikes to the head as Astra covers up. Constanza looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Even with his hooks in, Constanza manages to miss with strikes from the back. Astra has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Constanza. Astra turns into Constanza and is now in his guard.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doadi Rafi Meldir! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawg closes the distance and clinches up with Meldir, looking for a takedown. Dawg pushes Meldir against the cage but Meldir circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dawg keeps the fight on the outside. Dawg checks a low kick from Meldir. Dawg closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Meldir breaks the clinch.
Meldir attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Dawg misses with a two punch combination.
Doadi Rafi Meldir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dawg throws a one two combo.
Meldir drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Meldir trying to control but Dawg is working from the bottom. Dawg wants to sweep but no luck. Meldir gets to his feet - Dawg follows without any prompting. Meldir lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Jim Dawg has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Meldir fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dawg looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Meldir closes the distance and clinches. Meldir gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dawg regains guard.

Dawg is trying to control the action in half guard but Meldir is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Dawg frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Meldir keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dawg has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Meldir's face.

Laeskinen waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Papaioannou. Laeskinen is looking to chop away at Papaioannou's legs. Laeskinen shoots for a takedown but Papaioannou saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Papaioannou takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Laeskinen tries to bum rush Papaioannou with a series of wild strikes but Papaioannou uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Papaioannou checks a low kick from Laeskinen. Laeskinen throws a head kick but Papaioannou moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. White with a nice head shot there. White landing with the ground and pound. White is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. White lands a couple of elbows. White trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hammerfist, elbow! yells White's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground. White stands and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control. White working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
White has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lee is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. White yanks on the arm and Lee is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by White.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vanbelt thows a body shot but no joy. Lette drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vanbelt is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lette connects with a decent elbow. Lette misses with the ground and pound. Vanbelt wants to control but Lette postures up. Vanbelt might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lette kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Vanbelt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Vanbelt tries to kick Lette off but Lette keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lette lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Vanbelt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lette missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lette throwing shots but Vanbelt is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lette lands a nice short elbow. Vanbelt looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lette looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vanbelt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lette trying to control from half guard but Vanbelt is working away. Vanbelt wants to get back to full guard.

You get the feeling that Vanbelt really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Vanbelt tries to lock up and control but Lette gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lette avoids the attempt from Vanbelt to control. Vanbelt's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Vanbelt is looking to improve his position but Lette isn't that keen on the idea. Vanbelt wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Vanbelt is wriggling around trying to escape.
Vanbelt gets back to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vanbelt can do anything to dispel that myth. Vanbelt trying to control from the bottom.

Vanbelt pushes Lette off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Lette shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lette showed some decent athleticism there. Vanbelt wants to control but Lette is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lette looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Ground and pound from Lette. Lette lands with a punch from half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lette connects with a nice short shot to Vanbelt's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vanbelt makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Vanbelt has managed to clinch.
Vanbelt wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lette has hold of one of Vanbelt's legs. Vanbelt is fighting the takedown attempt but Lette gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lette's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lette looking to sit in guard and control but Vanbelt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lette is striking but Vanbelt is not phased and passes to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vanbelt keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lette regains full guard. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Palmer Lette dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lette shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Vanbelt!
Vanbelt Rushes Lette and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Lette is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Vanbelt Piles on the pressure and Lette crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
