Hefner slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Morgan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hefner walks away with a smile on his face. Morgan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That kick from Hefner tenderised Morgan's leg. Morgan is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hefner moves into the clinch successfully.

Hefner is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Morgan can't fight it off and eventually Hefner manages to take the fight to the floor. Morgan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dubko tries to clinch there but Corkran circles away.
Dubko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Corkran as he jumps to the side.
Corkran misses with a two punch combination.
Corkran shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dubko but Dubko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dubko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Corkran shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dubko manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Dubko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corkran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corkran accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dubko postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Corkran to stand up.

Corkran throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dubko's waist but Dubko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Corkran off to one side.
Corkran misses with a takedown attempt - Dubko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikey Corkran. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dubko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Corkran will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pavel Dubko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Corkran takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dubko is defended easily by Corkran.
Dubko stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Dubko throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Corkran.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Corkran shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Corkran was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Corkran has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dubko is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Corkran has hold of Dubko's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dubko manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Corkran shoots in looking for a takedown but Dubko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Corkran's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Corkran is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Corkran throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Pavel Dubko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Corkran had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dubko defends it easily.

Gagnon is pushing down on Nazarov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nazarov is fighting to maintain full guard but Gagnon has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gagnon connects with a bit shot that sees Nazarov covering up! More strikes from Gagnon and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gagnon is our winner by TKO!
