The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dai closes this distance looking for a takedown but Liddel circles away.
Dai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddel pinned against the cage. Liddel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dai gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Liddel counters with a straight right hand.
Chuck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Dai.
Liddel lands with a kick to the temple. Dai shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Mark Dai has been cut.
Dai shoots in looking for a takedown. Liddel tries to sprawl out of it but Dai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Liddel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dai tries for a takedown but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mark Dai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dai drops his hands momentarily and Liddel takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Liddel throws a front kick that sends Dai stumbling back into the cage.
Dai takes one on the button.
Dai bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Liddel comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Dai falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Dai was out before he hit the floor!
