The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hakansson tries to bum rush Wood with a series of wild strikes but Wood uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A big right from Wood misses.
Wood displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Morgan Hakansson has been cut.
Wood listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Hakansson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wood counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hakansson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A punch combination from Wood misses.
Hakansson cracks Wood with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wood feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hakansson sprawling to the canvas! Hakansson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wood finish him?!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wood shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Wood slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Wood lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
