The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lunges at Spark with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Spark's hand.

It looks like Tdk Spark has been cut.
Spark looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Silva avoids the head kick by Spark.
Spark lands a high kick!
Spark is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Spark.

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hurricane instigates a clinch.

Hurricane gets control of Gomi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hurricane will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
