The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoffman dives in and scores a takedown into Kessler's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hoffman throws a big right hand that misses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kessler can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rolfes's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Tazar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rolfes.
Tazar throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rolfes blocks the body kick.
Tazar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Tazar lands a leg kick that knocks Rolfes off balance momentarily.
Tazar throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Tazar throws a leg kick which misses Rolfes's front leg but catches the back leg as Rolfes tries to avoid it.
Rolfes swats away the attempt to clinch by Tazar.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rolfes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tazar can pounce on him.
Rolfes dives in and grabs Tazar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tazar pushes down on Rolfes's head and hops out.
Rolfes shoots for a takedown but Tazar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
