The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitch tries for a takedown but Quincy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A jab from Quincy misses.
Quincy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fitchs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fitch.
Fitch slaps away a takedown attempt from Quincy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Fitch misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Fitch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Quincy lands a nice shot to the body.

and Quincy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fitch avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fitch tries for a takedown but Quincy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fitch has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fitch there as he acknowledges the shot.
No joy there for Quincy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fitch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quincy is fending him off so far but Fitch persists. Nope, Quincy circles away and we're back to standing.

Quincy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fitch is looking to escape.

Fitch is desperately trying to improve his position but Quincy has a good base and remains in mount.
Quincy seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Fitch is holding on tight.
Fitch gets back to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fitch won't allow Quincy to pass to mount.

Fitch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Quincy is working away from the top position though.
Quincy seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Fitch is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Rolfes misses with a takedown attempt - Tazar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rolfes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rolfes's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Tazar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rolfes.

Tazar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Tazar throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Rolfes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tazar can pounce on him.
Rolfes dives in and grabs Tazar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tazar pushes down on Rolfes's head and hops out.
Rolfes shoots for a takedown but Tazar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
