Undercard bout

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paivakanni Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riski Hiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Johnson enables Hiski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Johnson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Hiski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johnson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hiski, into his guard.

Hiski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Johnson stacks Hiski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Johnson!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lindroos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lindroos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

I think Mieto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pikku G - Älä ole vihainen . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Armo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mieto - the referee stops the clock and Armo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mieto. Armo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
