The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roger shoots in looking for a takedown. Orakpo tries to sprawl out of it but Roger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Orakpo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Roger tries to score a power double leg takedown but Orakpo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roger somewhat.
Roger tries to close the distance and clinch but Orakpo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Orakpo leaves Roger with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Brian Orakpo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Roger.
Orakpo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Roger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Xianfa counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Palttu off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Xianfa follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Palttu was out before he hit the floor.
