Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wild Wes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Davy Geerts!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wes misses with a series of wild punches.
Geerts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wes.
Geerts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wild Wes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Geerts drops Wes with a beautiful combination! Wes stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Geerts is looking for the KO!

It looks like Wild Wes has been cut.
Geerts throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wes throws a left and a right that both miss

and Geerts counters with a crisp right hand that drops Wes! Geerts lets Wes back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

and Geerts counters with a solid body kick.
Oh Wes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wes is breathing heavily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Geerts. That's going to slow Wes down.
Wes seems to have got his legs back now.
Geerts misses with a head kick.
Geerts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Geerts cracks Wes with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wes looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Geerts finish him?
Geerts misses with a hook. Wes ducked under it nicely.
Wes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Geerts counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Geerts counters with a double leg. Wes bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Geerts follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.

The Random has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Phillips has hold of The Random's hands but The Random slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sattler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sattler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sattler has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jones should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sattler has tightened it up now! Jones should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
