The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson feints and as Rua raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rua wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.
Rua wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jackson showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Rua is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Rua wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Rua connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Rashad Jackson has been cut.
Rua throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Jackson crashing down! Jackson tries to stagger back to his feet but Rua just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Jackson asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
