The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griswold throws an off balance right hand
and Mela counters with a nice uppercut.
Griswold throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Griswold tries to clinch up but Mela circles away and keeps his distance.
Griswold avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mela moves into range and connects with a jab.
Griswold misses the jab.
Mela's corner calls for a 1-2. Mela obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mela shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griswold sprawls well. Griswold wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mela gets slowly back to his feet.

Crunch! Griswold slams his shin into Mela's torso.

Griswold throws a right and a left that Mela avoids nicely.
Griswold smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Griswold throws a head kick that misses.
Mela changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griswold tries to avoid it but Mela manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griswold to the ground. Griswold escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mela fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Griswold looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Griswold throws a chopping leg kick but Mela manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Griswold takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Mela darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Griswold is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Mela has latched onto it... Big trouble! Mela pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Griswold is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Mela!
