The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago misses with a combination
and Nazario counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Horrible takedown by Nazario or perhaps it was just good defense by Drago which made him look bad.

Saga comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Hail Destroyer" by Cancer Bats kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Boys misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Boys wants to work for an arm triangle but Saga is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Saga is trying to stand up here but Boys is controlling him well.

Boys is nestled in close to Saga, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Saga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boys. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Saga tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Boys cranks the arm and Saga screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Saga, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Karbassi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Karbassi lands in his opponent's guard.
Karbassi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Magamedov scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Karbassi tries for a takedown but Magamedov circles away easily
and Magamedov counters with a straight right hand.
Magamedov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Karbassi back to the cage. Magamedov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Magamedov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Karbassi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Magamedov is tightening it up a little... Karbassi has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Karbassi reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Karbassi taps out! nice BJJ there by Magamedov!
