The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aie feints and as Davis raises his hands in defense, Aie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Aie trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Aie wants to pass the guard but Davis is keeping the position.

Davis scrambles and gets back to his feet.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Howe looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Houses takes one on the button.
Houses fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Terry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Terry creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Houses's defenses.
Houses tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Terry smiles and moves away.
Terry shoots for a double leg takedown but Houses sprawls well. He's pushed Terry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
