The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruce is looking to chop away at Rodrigues's legs.

Rodrigues gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bruce to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Rodrigues escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bruce gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rodrigues can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bruce controls the pace.
Bruce looking to sit in guard and control but Rodrigues gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rodrigues drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bruce looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bruce looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bruce!

Bruce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodrigues. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bruce is looking to stall here but Rodrigues recovers full guard.

Vaninico on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Vinicius Vaninico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vaninico takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Vaninico throws a looping overhand right but Wilson ducks down to avoid it.

Rekdal holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
