The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knotts pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knotts displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jabbar throws out the jab.
Jabbar slips under a jab.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Knotts. Jabbar shrugs it off though.
Don Knotts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knotts on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Knotts throws a nice inside leg kick.
Jabbar throws an overhand right that lands on Knotts's shoulder, as Knotts tries to avoid the shot.
Knotts tries a head kick but it misses.
Knotts moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jabbar drops his hands momentarily and Knotts takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Kareem Amuy Jabbar has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Knotts with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jabbar looks gassed!
Knotts lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jabbar takes a step back to recover.
Knotts throws a wild body kick that Jabbar sees coming a mile off.
Knotts buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Knotts lands a jab.
Jabbar takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knotts throws a lazy right hand but Jabbar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Knotts sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Jabbar to the ground! Knotts dives into full mount looking to finish!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jabbar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Knotts trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Knotts controlling his opponent.
Knotts looking to control but Jabbar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Knotts looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Knotts landing shots from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Knotts postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jabbar looks a forlorn figure.

That has opened up Kareem Amuy Jabbar's cut even more.
The referee warns Jabbar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The cut above Kareem Amuy Jabbar's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Jabbar is in a horrible position here. Knotts smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Kareem Amuy Jabbar's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kareem Amuy Jabbar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawler Jr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lavelle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Brawler Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lavelle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brawler Jr manages to get himself to full guard.

Brawler Jr kicks Lavelle off and gets to his feet.
Brawler Jr's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Brawler Jr duly obliges.

It looks like Shane Lavelle has been cut.

Lavelle is in all sorts of trouble here.

Brawler Jr with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Brawler Jr looking to isolate an arm here. Lavelle doesn't see it coming and as Brawler Jr extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Brawler Jr!

Zaycev darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Zaycev is looking for a kimura here.

Zaycev is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jackson sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zaycev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Zaycev eventually gives up the hold.

Zaycev is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well.

Zaycev is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jackson sees it coming and defends easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Zaycev is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zaycev seems to be working for a kimura but Jackson defends the submission attempt.
Zaycev prevents Jackson from improving his position.
Zaycev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jackson wants to get back to full guard but Zaycev has passed into side control.

Jackson tries to reverse the position but Zaycev maintains control.

Zaycev is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jackson is surviving well by controlling Zaycev's body position as best he can.

Zaycev quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Zaycev but it's paid off an Jackson is forced to tap! Nice work by Zaycev.

and Kyril counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tabarez tries to clinch up
and Kyril counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A jab from Kyril finds it's way through Tabarez's defenses.
Tabarez misses with an uppercut
and Tabarez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tabarez throws a combination that misses
enabling Kyril to counter with a crisp jab.

Kyril throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Tabarez tumbling to the canvas!

Tabarez is rocked!
Kyril postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tabarez is still in real trouble! Can Kyril finish him?

Kyril stands up and waves to Tabarez to follow him.
Tabarez seems to have recovered his senses.

and Kyril counters with a huge head kick that drops Tabarez! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
