The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mercer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Joshua looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mercer wants to control but Joshua is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Joshua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Joshua pushes Mercer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mercer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Mercer is trying to escape the mount but Joshua keeps good control and instead manages to take Mercer's back.

A looping hook to the body misses from Chow. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Chow's legs - danger averted.

Johnson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
