The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
King scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
King not landing any meaningful shots this time.
King looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sanchez manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Sanchez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.
King is controlling Sanchez's posture.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and King defends it well.

That was a close round but I would say that Heath Sanchez will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


King is looking to clinch.

King shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

King moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sanchez has worked his arm free - good work by Sanchez!

King stands and steps away. Sanchez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
King is breathing heavily.

King feints and as Sanchez raises his hands in defense, King changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Heath Sanchez will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

King throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sanchez uses it to pass to side control.
Sanchez cracks King with an elbow. That is naaassty.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sanchez is working to tighten is grip on King's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. King has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sanchez is really squeezing tight and eventually King passes out! Sanchez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Brown slaps away a takedown attempt from McDonald, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Brown feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McDonald sprawling to the canvas! McDonald rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brown finish him?!

It looks like Brett McDonald has been cut.

McDonald shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brown wants to stand but McDonald is controlling the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McDonald is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brown is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brown has escaped and now he's on top!

Hans De Vries has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Floyd Pepper.
De Vries thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pepper if he has to take too many more of those.

De Vries lands a head kick. Pepper smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
De Vries digs a good body shot into Pepper's ribs.
De Vries throws a body punch but Pepper moves out of range.
Pepper is trying desperately to land a takedown but De Vries is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pepper.

De Vries works over Pepper's head and body with a nice combination.

De Vries fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pepper, pushing him back against the cage.
Pepper wants a takedown but no success here.
De Vries is trying to force a seperation but Pepper has the dominant position.

De Vries lands with an uppercut that bounces Pepper off the cage and back into rage.
Both fighters circling a little - De Vries finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Pepper takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Pepper tries to keep at a distance but De Vries has taken the fight into the clinch.
De Vries wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pepper has him pressed against the cage.

De Vries breaks the clinch.
De Vries pulls out of a head kick attempt.
De Vries throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
De Vries ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
De Vries thumps Pepper with a low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

De Vries moves into the clinch.
Pepper is working for takedown but De Vries is calmly controlling the position for now.
Pepper jumps guard but De Vries stands there with Pepper around his waist. Pepper gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

De Vries's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
De Vries throws a leg kick which misses Pepper's front leg but catches the back leg as Pepper tries to avoid it.
A nice inside leg kick there by De Vries. That's going to slow Pepper down.
De Vries connects with a high kick.
De Vries buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
De Vries misses with a few strikes there.
A slapping leg kick lands for De Vries.
Pepper throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pepper throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and De Vries counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
De Vries is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pepper's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
De Vries fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
De Vries lands a nice hook to Pepper's body. Pepper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hans De Vries dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


De Vries uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
De Vries plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
De Vries fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pepper manages to avoid it.

and De Vries counters with a right hand to the body.
De Vries ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pepper moves away.

Pepper fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
De Vries scores with a decent looking hook.

De Vries has taken the fight to the clinch.

Pepper gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, De Vries regains guard.
Pepper stops De Vries from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pepperis looking to pass into half guard but De Vries pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now De Vries is in guard.
De Vries trying to control but Pepper is working from the bottom.
Pepper is breathing heavily.
De Vries is looking to stand up but Pepper won't let him.
De Vries slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pepper pushes a forearm under De Vries's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, De Vries is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
