Kicurasz rushes Alkofer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Balletti.
Guy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Balletti.
Balletti circles away from the clinch attempt.
Balletti throws a jab when Guy was well out of range.
Guy closes the distance and clinches up with Balletti, looking for a takedown. Guy pushes Balletti against the cage but Balletti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Balletti looks to land a right hand but Guy moved out of range.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Balletti does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Guy counters with a single leg into guard. Balletti didn't expect that.

Guy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Guy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Balletti kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Balletti ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Guy moves away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Guy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Balletti won't be happy with that.

Guy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Guy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Balletti.
Balletti throws a lazy right hand but Guy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Paulie Balletti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Guy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Balletti to see if he's OK.
