The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins comes to the ring accompanied by The Prodigy-Out Of Space. The crowd seem to be enjoying Alves's choice of entrance music: Bob Marley - Get Up Stand Up. Tyrone Jenkins had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Tyrone Jenkins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Jenkins closes the distance and clinches up with Alves, looking for a takedown. Jenkins pushes Alves against the ropes but Alves circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jenkins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Alves cracks a nice hook into Jenkins's ribs.
Alves throws a lazy right hand but Jenkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alves lands a hook that stumbles Jenkins back into the ropes. Alves follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Jenkins to the canvas! Alves pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Jenkins has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Horrible takedown by Sein or perhaps it was just good defense by Maia which made him look bad.
Maia tries to clinch but Sein is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Oro Sein is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Maia gets control of Sein's arms and successfully pulls guard. Maia will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sein wants to control from the top but Maia keeps moving.
Sein is really struggling to control Maia but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Maia wants to get back to his feet but Sein is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sein trying to control the position from guard on top but Maia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sein knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maia on the ground.
