The crowd seem to be enjoying Nero's choice of entrance music: Ennio Morricone - Vamos amatar companeros. Both these guys have really solid chins. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansson lands with an overhand left.
Hansson misses with a two punch combination.
Nero cracks Hansson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A combination from Hansson does no damage.
Nero throws a shot from downtown. Hansson moves away and avoids it.

Gustaf Hansson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nero shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hansson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hansson parries the strikes from Nero easily there. Nero is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hansson to escape.
Hansson misses with a strike from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hansson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A big right followed by a crushing left from Hansson knocks Nero out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Sadji Nosla told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Assassin shoots in for a takedown but Nosla shows good takedown defense.
Nosla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Assassin has a takedown stuffed.
Nosla lands a head kick!
Nosla displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Assassin.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ninja Assassin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Assassin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nosla's waist but Nosla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Assassin off to one side.
Nosla leaves Assassin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Assassin shoots in for a takedown but Nosla shows good takedown defense.
Assassin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nosla is fending him off so far but Assassin persists. Nope, Nosla circles away and we're back to standing.
Assassin fails to land the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Assassin or perhaps it was just good defense by Nosla which made him look bad.
Assassin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nosla tries to avoid it but Assassin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nosla to the ground. Nosla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Assassin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nosla sprawls well. Nosla wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Assassin gets slowly back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Assassin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sadji Nosla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nosla displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Assassin.
Assassin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nosla sprawls well. Nosla wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Assassin gets slowly back to his feet.

Assassin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Assassin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nosla wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Assassin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nosla has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nosla!

Nosla stands and steps away. Assassin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Assassin fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Assassin.
Nosla misses with a series of wild punches.
Nosla connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Nosla lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nosla scores with a head kick.

Assassin is rocked!
Assassin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nosla sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nosla stuffs the takedown.
Nosla throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Oh Assassin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Assassin closes the distance and clinches up with Nosla, looking for a takedown. Assassin pushes Nosla against the cage but Nosla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nosla lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Assassin falls backwards - clearly groggy! Nosla dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
