The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zenn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A punch combination from Zenn misses.
pulver throws a head kick that Zenn semi-blocks.

It looks like AJ Zenn has been cut.
Zenn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

pulver feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
pulver throws and elbow that misses. Zenn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in pulver's guard. Nice move by Zenn!

pulver shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zenn but Zenn pushes him off and we're back to square one.

pulver is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Zenn goes for an armbar but he's not got it… pulver turns into him and now he's in Zenn's guard.

I would just about give that final round to jens pulver.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from PAIN is defended easily by Semmence.

PAIN moves into range and clinches up with Semmence.
Semmence gets underhooks to prevent PAIN's takedown attempt.
Semmence is trying to drag PAIN to the mat but PAIN just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

PAIN escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
PAIN uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Semmence.
PAIN fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ryan Semmence has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MAX PAIN.

PAIN shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. PAIN showed some decent athleticism there.
Semmence is looking for a sweep. PAIN is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Semmence has a hand on PAIN's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. PAIN takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Semmence will probably get the nod.
