The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamaka tries to clinch but Takanori moves out of range.
Lion Takanori seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takanori wants to land a leg kick but Hamaka is out of range.
Takanori throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hamaka tries to work over Takanori's front leg with a kick but Takanori checks it.
Hamaka stalks Takanori and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Takanori's face. Takanori staggers backwards, shaken.
A slow jab from Hamaka misses its intended target.
Hamaka throws a push kick but Takanori slaps the foot to one side.
Takanori clobbers Hamaka with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Takanori looks to land a combination. Hamaka sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oh Hamaka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hamaka is breathing heavily.
Hamaka walks straight into a right hand from Takanori - that's dropped him! Takanori jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hamaka from any more punishment! Hamaka complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Slavey is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Mitchell flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Mitchell is out cold! Slavey holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
