Well Ruck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Striker cracks Daoud with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The crowd cheers as Striker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Daoud doesn't seem phased though.
Striker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Striker is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Daoud displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Striker throws out the jab.

Nishimura looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Patterson is fending him off so far but Nishimura persists. Nope, Patterson circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Patterson or perhaps it was just good defense by Nishimura which made him look bad.

and Patterson counters with a shoot takedown. Nishimura fights it but they end up in guard.

Patterson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nishimura is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Patterson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nishimura's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I really don't envy Nishimura right now.

Patterson is looking for a choke. Nishimura gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Nishimura manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Nishimura drops back, looking for a kneebar! Patterson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Patterson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Patterson!

Patterson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nishimura rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Patterson's guard! Nice work there by Nishimura!

Patterson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nishimura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nishimura sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Patterson's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Shinji Nishimura will probably get the nod.
