Lesmar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Putin tries to avoid it but Lesmar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Putin to the ground. Putin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Broqui Lesmar's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Putin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lesmar is still in real trouble! Can Putin finish him?

Lesmar seems to have recovered his senses.

Putin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lesmar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lesmar tries to bench press Putin off him but Putin keeps the position.

Putin has hold of Lesmar's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lesmar tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Putin cranks the arm and Lesmar screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lesmar, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
