Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Able Nightroad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Shannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nightroad's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Vicarious. Shannigan has chosen Slaughtered as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Able Nightroad!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Shannigan!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nightroad has managed to clinch.
Shannigan is pressed up against the cage. Nightroad has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shannigan down to the mat. Shannigan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nightroad throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nightroad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shannigan pinned against the cage. Shannigan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shannigan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shannigan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Shannigan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nightroad was well out of range. Poor timing from Shannigan.
Shannigan connects with a looping right hand.
Shannigan with a body punch. A glancing blow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Shannigan lands a big uppercut and Nightroad crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Nightroad looks OK. Shannigan waves Nightroad back to his feet!

Nightroad is rocked!

It looks like Able Nightroad has been cut.
Shannigan closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Nightroad out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommy Shannigan!
Tommy Shannigan is the new light heavyweight champion!
