These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perbichi avoids a kick to the body.
Rich shoots for a double leg takedown but Perbichi sprawls well. He's pushed Rich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rich clinches up against the cage.
Rich tries to score a body lock takedown but Perbichi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Perbichi prevents the takedown attempt.

Rich turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rich manages to end up in side control.

Rich swings around for an armbar but Perbichi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rich's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Silva will probably get the nod.
