Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Ramsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinzo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramsley comes to the ring accompanied by The Trooper. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ramsley to his feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Lee!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Phoenix. That did some damage!
Phoenix swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Lee is looking to clinch but Phoenix is avoiding it.
Lee swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Phoenix shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Phoenix was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The referee warns Lee that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Phoenix lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Domer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Domer clinches with his opponent.
Domer is struggling to control the position.
Lapierre misses with a punch to the body.

Domer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Domer takes the fight into the clinch.
Lapierre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Domer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lapierre's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Domer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Domer clinches with his opponent.
Domer is pressed up against the ropes. Lapierre has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Domer down to the mat. Domer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jean Luc Lapierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lapierre tries to clinch up
and Domer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lapierre tries for a takedown but Domer circles away easily
and Domer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jeffy Domer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Luc Lapierre.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Domer closes the distance and clinches.

Domer breaks the clinch.

Domer throws a quick head kick that knocks Lapierre silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Domer is up on the ropes, taking in the applause from the crowd.
