A fine choice. Beale has chosen Mad As Hell as his entrance music. Nick shannon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beale doesn't manage to clinch there - shannon circles away.
shannon misses the shot to the body.

Beale fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with shannon, pushing him back against the cage.
Beale is trying to break the clinch but shannon has him pressed against the cage.
shannon fails to pull guard.
shannon tries to pull guard but Beale won't allow it.

Beale has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Beale is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

shannon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Beale can't fight it off and eventually shannon manages to take the fight to the floor. Beale looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
shannon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beale swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as shannon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

shannon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Beale is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of shannon, into his guard.

shannon is trying to stick to Beale's back but Beale is turning into shannon. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in shannon's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Beale.

Beale gets to his feet. shannon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Beale shoots for a takedown but shannon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

North has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Savanis doesn't defend quickly enough and North has managed to lock this one up! Can Savanis escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to North on a fantastic submission victory.

Jando throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jando throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Harden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jando chopping away at his opponent's legs.
No joy there for Harden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Harden throws a one two combo.
Harden takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jando throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Harden stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Jando follows into mount!

It looks like James Harden has been cut.
Jando pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
