The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fighter tries to clinch but Stevens is having none of it.
Fighter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Stevens gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fighter to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kaunotukka has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Arts is really squeezing tight and eventually Kaunotukka passes out! Arts breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Widowmaker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peto to the mat! Peto manages to get full guard.

Peto manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Widowmaker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Peto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Peto pushes Widowmaker off looking to stand but Widowmaker dives back in and keeps control.
Peto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Peto wants to stand and escape but Widowmaker is having none of it.
Peto is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Still in the clinch, Peto scores with a nice short uppercut.

Peto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Peto is looking for a triangle here but Widowmaker uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Widowmaker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Peto, who protects the arm well.
Peto pushes Widowmaker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Widowmaker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Peto takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Peto is pushing Widowmaker's head away, looking to escape. Widowmaker manages to hold on to the position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Peto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Peto leaves Widowmaker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Paalio throws a hook to the side of Sparks's head but Sparks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Paalio jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Paalio looks to land a right hand but Sparks moved out of range.
Aalio Paalio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paalio is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Sparks flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Sparks is out cold! Paalio holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Laiskiainen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Topohanta - the referee stops the clock and Laiskiainen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Topohanta. Laiskiainen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
