Sodo shoots for a takedown but Pinketon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Horrible takedown by Pinketon or perhaps it was just good defense by Sodo which made him look bad.

Mac is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yamapi Chan.
Well Chan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

I think Jenkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to This Charming Man by The Stars. Jimmy Jenkins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Jenkins catches Veneracion right on the button with a cross.
Jenkins throws a right hand that Veneracion ducks under and follows up with a left that Veneracion also avoids with ease.
Jenkins throws a right and a left that Veneracion avoids nicely.
Veneracion gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jenkins uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Veneracion on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Veneracion is still on wobbly legs! Can Jenkins finish him?
Jenkins finds Veneracion's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Veneracion flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Jenkins lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Veneracion will be OK.
