Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, gerard mousasi!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Draven gets a clinch.
mousasi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Draven is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Draven breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
mousasi shoots in but Draven avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Eric Draven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Draven tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
mousasi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Draven sprawls well. Draven wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. mousasi gets slowly back to his feet.

mousasi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Draven is controlling an arm, preventing mousasi from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Draven sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Draven pushes mousasi off looking to stand but mousasi dives back in and keeps control.
Draven knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for mousasi on the ground.
mousasi is thwarting Draven's attempts to control the position.
Draven has his hands clasped together around mousasi's back. He's all about the action.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Draven is trying to get back to full guard.

mousasi is trying to work for a kimura but Draven is defending well.
Draven trying to control but mousasi postures up.
mousasi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

mousasi is working for a submission of some sort.
mousasi looks gassed!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Draven fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Draven is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by mousasi.
Draven doesn't manage to clinch there - mousasi circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Draven looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Draven tries to clinch up.

Draven drives through with a takedown into guard.
Draven postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Draven sitting in guard, not really doing much.

mousasi is looking for a triangle but Draven pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Draven tries to free his leg and advance position but mousasi is retaining full guard.

Draven stays in close to mousasi's body and controls the position.
mousasi keeping moving, preventing Draven from controlling successfully.
Draven tries to stand but mousasi is controlling from the bottom.

Draven slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Draven has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Draven stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. mousasi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Draven dominated that round.
That's time! Draven's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


mousasi fails with the takedown

and Draven counters with a single leg into guard. mousasi didn't expect that.
Draven wants to get up but he can't break mousasi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
mousasi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Draven!
Draven prevents mousasi from taking his back.
Draven is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
mousasi looking to finish Draven with some ground and pound. This is bad for Draven!
Draven wants to control but mousasi is having none of it.
mousasi is breathing heavily.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Eric Draven just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Draven fails with an attempt to clinch.

mousasi has his takedown stuffed

and Draven counters with a head kick that drops mousasi!

mousasi is rocked!
Draven gets to his feet and stands over mousasi, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! mousasi felt that one! Draven unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save mousasi from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Draven!
