That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rex Luthor.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMann feints and then cracks Mir's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mir down.
Mir swats away the attempt to clinch by McMann.
McMann tries to work over Mir's front leg with a kick but Mir checks it.

Mir closes the distance and clinches.
Mir tries for a takedown but McMann manages to get underhooks.
McMann prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mir jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McMann walks away with a smile on his face. Mir gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McMann pinned against the cage. McMann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McMann throws a head kick but Mir moves out of range.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from McMann, right into the meat.

Skip McMann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McMann connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
McMann feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mir's calf.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McMann pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McMann lands with a thumping leg kick.
McMann throws a leg kick but Mir sees it coming and checks it nicely.
McMann drops Mir with a right and a left! McMann comes rushing in but Mir regains his composure and manages to keep McMann in guard.

Mir is rocked!

McMann decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mir, up you get!
Oh Mir is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A nice inside leg kick there by McMann. That's going to slow Mir down.

McMann moves into the clinch successfully.
Mir is pressed against the cage. McMann pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Mir! Two more big strikes from McMann and Mir crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

You can see the frustration on Chatum's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
I looks like Chase might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
