spartin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alves sprawls well initially but spartin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

He tries to recover but Alves pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! spartin is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

G lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rogers circles away quickly and effectively.

Rogers blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Rogers has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and G goes down! Rogers pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!

G is rocked!
Rogers is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Oh G is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
G seems to have got his legs back now.

Rogers has hold of G's arm. He's looking for a kimura. G seems comfortable defending it but Rogers has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! G is real pain and he's forced to tap out! G is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rogers couldn't care less - he's delighted!
