Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Calhoun stands up over Hoshi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Calhoun drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Calhoun jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hoshi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Calhoun throws a big right hand that misses.
Calhoun throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hoshi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Hoshi is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Calhoun takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hoshi tries to hold on but Calhoun pushes him away.

I would just about give that final round to Scott Calhoun.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith wanted to stand there but Madden had control of the position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Smith flashes Madden a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Madden's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Madden crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Smith punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knox lands a big shot there that rocks Kovalchuk but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kovalchuk is bucking up trying to escape but Knox cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Knox pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kovalchuk wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Knox has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Kovalchuk taps furiously! This one is all over!
