The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy misses with a series of wild punches.

Guy gets caught flat footed, as zavos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
zavos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
zavos pushes down on Guy's leg and manages to get into half guard.
zavos is controlling the pace.
Guy wants to improve his position but zavos is controlling well.

zavos is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Guy has managed to escape the submission attempt.

zavos avoids the head kick by Guy.
zavos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

zavos gets a takedown into half guard.
zavos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Guy has a hand on zavos's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. zavos takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Guy tries to improve his position but instead zavos has taken his back!

Guy wants to escape the position.

zavos has got one arm under Guy's chin. This could be trouble... Guy trying to control the other hand but zavos gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Guy has tapped out! The fight is over!
